Eat Up Raise Your Game follows Davey’s personal philosophy around food for an active lifestyle, aiming to improve a reader’s understanding of nutrition and providing simple, practical and tasty recipes. Recipes are devised based on what you should be eating at different times, whether you’re in active or recovery mode. This means that there are specific amounts of carbohydrate, protein and fat that are contained in the recipes that are based on when the meal is eaten (nutrient timing) and what a person’s goal is (usually around changing muscle or fat composition on the body). The book is based on the latest scientific literature, translated into easy-to-understand practical information.

About The Author
Daniel Davey received his BSc in Science from UCD and holds an MSc in Nutrition, Physical Activity & Public Health from the University of Bristol. He is also a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (C.S.C.S) with the NSCA, and has national qualifications in Exercise and Health Studies. Daniel has worked as a performance nutritionist with a host of elite athletes in a range of sports. In conjunction with his role with Leinster Rugby, Daniel also works as a performance nutritionist with the Dublin senior footballers, five-time winners of the All Ireland Gaelic Football Championship (2015-2019).
