1. Background/Introduction
McCauley Health and Beauty Pharmacy , previously Sam McCauleys, is a household name in parts of Ireland, synonymous with trustworthy and familiar community pharmacies and premium beauty brands where you will find experts in front of and behind the counter. McCauley Health & Beauty Pharmacy operates 34 stores nationally, employs over 600 staff.

The business is undertaking a significant growth strategy that will see its network of pharmacies grow even further over next 5 years.



2. Project Goals and Scope of Services
McCauley Pharmacy is seeking the services of a full-service print and promotions firm to print and deliver a 12 month calendar of point- of-sale promotions for a network of 35 stores, print and supply any marketing collateral for use in-store, at events and sponsorship activities and seasonal marketing campaigns required by the business. The award will be made to a responsive and innovative print company based on the best value and quality, distribution/logistics capability, and marketing value- add it can bring to the business.
The selected firm will be responsible for the print and distribution of Large and Small format in-store POS marketing collateral, brochures, leaflets, corporate marketing materials.
Requirements include but may not be limited to the following:
• Print and distribution of monthly in-store point of sale for 35 stores
• Print of customer and corporate collateral, business cards and brochures

• Production of direct mail , newspaper inserts, flyers and coupons, stickers.
• Graphic Design services
• Print of wall and Floor graphics, event backdrops and roller banners
• General account management
• Other print / promotions related assistance as required
3. Anticipated Selection Schedule
The Request for Proposal timeline is as follows:
Request for RFP issued : 13th Jan 2020
Deadline for Bidders to Submit Proposal: 24th Jan 2020
Selection of Top Bidders / Notification to Unsuccessful Bidders: 31st Jan 2020
Shortlist Presentations: w/c 3rd Feb
Contract Award / Notification to Unsuccessful Bidders: Following Presentation Review
4. Time and Place of Submission of Proposals
The RFP will be posted on our website, mccauley.ie and can be downloaded from there directly Respondents to this RFP must submit one original and five copies of their proposal. Responses must be received no later than 24th Jan 2020
Responses should be clearly marked “RFP-Print Marketing” and emailed or delivered to the contact person listed above.
5. Process Timeline
McCauley Pharmacy requires proposals submitted as per the timeline above. A shortlist will be selected for presentation.
6. Elements of Proposal
A submission must, at a minimum, include the following elements:
• Description of the firm that includes a general overview, names and credentials of creative team, number of full-time employees.
• A one-page narrative outlining the firm’s strengths and distinguishing skills or capabilities as they might relate to McCauley Pharmacy Print Requirements
• A representative selection of print materials , graphic design projects ,retail promotions , in-store activations created for current and past clients.

7. Evaluation Criteria
The successful respondent will:
• Have been operating continuously as a print company for a minimum of 24 months and possess fullservice, account management, capabilities for graphic design services , print production, packing, logistics and a strong knowledge of retail point of sale
• The education, experience, knowledge, skills, and qualifications of the firm and the individuals who will be available to provide these services.
• The competitive cost of services.
• The expertise of the firm in working with similar customers.
