Optrex Clear Eyes Eye Drops are an eye drop solution. They are used to relieve redness and soothe irritation. Caused by the day to day effects of modern living such as dusty, smoky atmospheres, eye strain and chlorine in swimming pools.
Warnings and Precautions:
Persons suffering from glaucoma, serious eye diseases or who have had previous eye surgery should not use this product.
Use with caution on an inflamed eye, as hyperaemia greatly increases the rate of systematic absorption through the conjunctiva.
If you are being treated for high blood pressure, arteriosclerosis, cardiovascular disease, depression, heart disease, diabetes or increased thyroid activity, consult your doctor before using the drops.
If you experience severe eye pain, changes of vision or discharge from the eye, or if the condition worsens or persists for more than one day consult your doctor.
Discard any eye drops remaining 28 days after opening the container. If the solution changes colour or becomes cloudy do not use.
Pregnancy:
If you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant, speak to your doctor or pharmacist before using this product.
Breastfeeding:
This product can be used while breast-feeding
Contradictions
Hypersensitivity to hamamelis water, naphazoline or to any of the excipients used in this product.
Persons suffering from closed-angle glaucoma, serious eye disease, or who have had previous eye surgery.
Use in patients taking monoamine oxidase inhibitors or within 14 days of stopping such medication.
Use in patients with contact lenses.
Not to be used in children younger than 12 years of age.
Always read the packaging and enclosed leaflet carefully before use.
Instil one or two drops into the eye(s) up to four times daily. If there is no improvement after 24 hours, stop using and consult a doctor or pharmacist. Using the drops for longer periods may increase redness of the eye.
How to use:
Check the seal is not broken before first use
Wash and dry your hands
Remove plastic cap from the eye drop tip
Gently pull the lower lid downward and tilt your head back
Squeeze the bottle gently and apply 1-2 drops into the pocket formed by your lower lid, but don’t allow the tip to touch your eye or the other surfaces of the eye
Repeat for the other eye
Replace the cap straight away
Some people prefer to apply drops this way: Close the eye. Apply one or two drops to the inner corner of your eye. Open your eye and blink several times to spread the drops properly
