Blood Pressure Check
Helping with the early detection of high or low blood pressure (hypertension or hypotension).
Blood pressure measures how strongly your blood presses against the walls of your arteries as your heart pumps it around your body. It’s an important indicator of how hard your heart is working and how well your blood is circulating.
A healthy blood pressure reading is generally around 120/80 mmHg. Readings can vary based on factors like age, diet, physical activity, medication, stress, and lifestyle. If your blood pressure is consistently too high (140/90 mmHg or above), it may increase your risk of heart attack, stroke, or kidney problems — often without any noticeable symptoms.
The only way to know for sure is to have it checked.
At McCauley Pharmacy, you can book a quick and convenient blood pressure check or simply walk in. The check takes just a few minutes and is carried out in a private consultation space by a pharmacy colleague.
You’ll receive a record of your results, and any advice or next steps based on the outcome.
