It contains paracetamol to treat pain and fever, promethazine which is an antihistamine that helps to dry up a runny nose and aids sleep and dextromethorphan which is a cough suppressant that helps to relieve dry or tickly coughs.
Warnings and precautions:
Do not use Night Nurse Liquid if you are allergic to any of the active ingredients. This medicine may cause drowsiness. If affected, do not drive or operate machinery. This medicine contains Paracetamol. Do not take other medicines containing Paracetamol while taking it.
Immediate medical advice should be sought in the event of an overdose, even if you feel well.
Please consult your doctor if symptoms do not improve. This medicine can lead to dependence. Therefore, treatment should be of short duration..

Contraindications
Known hypersensitivity to the active ingredients or to any of the excipients. Use in children under 16 years of age. Hepatic or renal impairment. Patients who are taking or have taken monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) in the last two weeks. With, or at risk of developing, respiratory failure (e.g. those with chronic obstructive airways disease or pneumonia, or during an asthma attack or an exacerbation of asthma).
