The Department of Health and the Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth jointly launched a report in 2021 which examines the prevalence and impact of period poverty in Ireland. Period poverty is the lack of access to sanitary products, menstrual hygiene education, toilets, handwashing facilities, and, or, waste management and is a growing issue in Ireland particularly since the onset of the pandemic.

McCauley Pharmacy are delighted to be able to provide free sanitary products to women and girls affected by period poverty.

You will then receive an e-mail that you can present in any McCauley Pharmacy (either on your phone or a printout) to receive your free period product.
