The paracetamol in CALPOL 120mg/5ml Infant Oral Suspension is used to relieve pain such as tooth pain, headache, sore throat and aches and pains that come with colds and flu. It also brings down fever (high temperature) and can be used to relieve side effects of vaccination. Calpol provides fast and effective relief whilst being gentle on little tummies.
Warnings and precautions:
Do not give your child this medicine: If s/he has ever had a bad reaction to paracetamol or any of the other ingredients in this medicine (see Section 6 of the patient information leaflet). If s/he is taking anything else with paracetamol in it. If s/he weighs less than 4 kg. If s/he is less than 2 months old
Talk to your doctor or pharmacist: • If your child has serious kidney or liver problems. • If your child has an inherited intolerance to fructose or been diagnosed with an intolerance to some other sugars. • If your child has Gilbert’s syndrome (familial non-haemolytic jaundice). • If your child has a condition called Glucose- 6- phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency. • If your child has haemolytic anaemia. • If your child has glutathione deficiency. • If your child is dehydrated or chronically malnourished.
Tell your doctor or pharmacist if your child is taking any other medicines.
Pregnancy This product is suitable for use during pregnancy
Breast Feeding Consult doctor or pharmacist before use during breastfeeding.
Contraindications
Hypersenstivity or allergy to paracetamol or any excipients listed in Section 6 of the information leaflet.

How to use Calpol 125mg/5ml:
3-6 months : One 2.5ml spoonful (small end) up to four times daily
6-24 months: One 5ml spoonful (large end) up to four times daily
2-4 years: One 5ml spoonful plus one 2.5ml spoonful up to four times daily
4-6 years: Two 5ml spoonfuls up to four times daily
Do not give more than 4 doses in 24 hours
