Paracetamol Bluefish contains the active substance paracetamol which is a painkiller and also reduces your temperature when you have a fever. It is recommended for the short-term treatment of mild to moderate pain such as headache, toothache, muscle and joint pain and menstrual pain. It also relieves fever associated with common colds and flu. You must talk to a doctor if you do not feel better or if you feel worse after 3 days of fever and 5 days of pain or if other symptoms appear. Paracetamol is indicated in adults and adolescents aged 12 or older
Warnings:
-Contains paracetamol. Do not use with any other paracetamol-containing products. The concomitant use with other products containing paracetamol may lead to an overdose. Paracetamol overdose may cause liver failure which can lead to liver transplant or death. -Do not exceed the stated dose. -If symptoms persist, consult your doctor. Prolonged use except under medical supervision may be harmful. -This product should only be used when clearly necessary. -Panadol ActiFast is considered high in sodium. This should be particularly taken into account for those on a low salt diet
Pregnancy
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor for advice before taking this medicine. If necessary, Paracetamol can be used during pregnancy. You should use the lowest possible dose that reduces your pain and/or your fever and use it for the shortest time possible
Breastfeeding
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor for advice before taking this medicine. You can take this product whilst breastfeeding.
Contradictions
Hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients used in this product.
Adolscents 12-15 years - 1 tablet (500mg) to be taken every 4-6 hours.
Maximum daily dose of 2-3g (4-6 tablets) in 24 hours.
Adults and Adolscents over 15 years - 1 or 2 tablets (500mg-1000mg) to be taken every 4-6 hours. Maximum daily dose of 2-3g (4-6 tablets) in 24 hours.
If the pain persists for more than 5 days or the fever lasts for more than 3 days, or gets worse or other symptoms appear, a doctor should be consulted.
The lowest effective dose should be used for the shortest time possible. The maximum daily dose must not be exceeded (3000mg).
